About

Inspired by Vesta, the Roman goddess associated with sacred fire, family and unity, this sculpture represents welcome and togetherness. Its wavy metal bands create changing perspectives as visitors walk around it, suggesting the movement and lightness of a flame.

Developed by VCA Maggi in September 2021, the work forms part of Vésta Shopping’s identity. Its plaque identifies the sculptor as Leo Mathias. This unique piece measures 150 × 250 × 450 cm and is made from galvanised carbon steel and 316 stainless steel using welding and cold forming.

The space is freely accessible, with visits possible 24 hours a day. The sculpture can be enjoyed by day or at night, when the shopping centre’s lighting highlights its curves and materials.
